This year our very own three wise guys: Ken, Dougal and Fergus, came together to brew a festive beer with a difference. Arms ladled with Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh, they began their experimenting and with a little guidance from the big guy, Frank & Sense was born.
A golden ale, packed full of lovely hop and malt character, this Celestial brew has been elevated to a different plain by the addition of three of the oldest ingredients in the book.

Bottle from the LCBO.
Pours a slightly hazy orange, with a medium white head. Aroma has some light spice, honey, and hints of stone fruit. Nice mouth feel, carb is a little low. Finish is lightly bitter, more spice, and light fruit. Hints of sweetness, more honey, apricot, white pepper.

Keg at the Loaded Dog, Leicester. Dark gold, clear with a spotty head. Caramel aroma with sweet resinous notes. Taste of sweet toffee and lightly spiced orange peel. Metallic aftertaste, so that's not great. Heavy carbonation. A decent beer all in all despite some flaws.

Huge thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass brownish, almost no head. Fruity malty aroma. Starts mild, malty, fruity. Notes of peaches, apricot, mild lemon. Mild sourish hints. Finish well balanced, still fine fruity. Not too intense. Nice one!

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an almost clear amber with a small, white head. Nutty, fruity nose - very British hop bill I believe. Medium body, dry - very dry - fruitiness with a perfumy note of.....something. Massively bitter finish. 050319
