So for designing my table beer I had to balance all my imbibing desires into a product that would always quench my thirst. I compiled some of my favorite attributes into a format that would be pleasing on any day or time. Low abv, dry finish with a light funky yeast esters that are accented with a abundance of earthy & fruity hops. Balance is always the goal, but for this I also wanted extreme quaff-ability, refreshment, and subtle complexity.. Classic? perhaps. www.tablebeer.com

Draught @ CBC ’12
Aroma is light with earthy notes, some citrus and wheat. Flavour is sourish with earthy notes, citron and wheat. Similar to Jester King one, this one has more body (and ABV).

650 mL bottle. Pours pale yellow, with a large, foamy, white head. The aroma is lemons, salt, rocks, and pine. The flavor is metallic, faintly citrusy, and very sour. The aftertaste is long and intensely sour, to the point that it is difficult to continue drinking. The palate is medium, hard and clingy. Overall, this is an undrinkable mess of a beer. Very disappointed.

Sample at Ale Wine & Spirits in Powell on 04/20/2012. Hazy yellow-gold pour with a medium white head that burns away steadily. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of yeast, spicy hops and fruit. Light body with a mild funk character and notes of mild hops, peppery yeast and fruit. The finish is dry and tart with a funky brett aftertaste. Pretty good light Belgian Ale overall.

Bomber from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours slightly hazy gold with a creamy white head. Aroma is citrus, brett!, earthy, yeast/spice. Kids aren’t drinking this one! Near med body. It is earthy. Woody. Noticeably bretty. Astringent. Then there’s some light citrus and light pitted fruit. Finishes reasonably earthy and bitter, with some brett. Amazing how a little brett just sets off a beer.
