Bottle, at the brewery. It’s a dark reddish brown beer topped by a minimal sized beige head. A bit weak on the aroma, with cellar, brown sugar, and a touch of something spiced. The flavor is very cellary and barnyardish, some sugar too of course. Medium body. Metallic finish with some dirt cellar notes. A decent one, but far from the most interesting faro I’ve had. 110501

On tap at the brewery at Tour De Geueze. Brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is sugar, malt, cellar notes. Flavour is sweet, sugar, earth, yeast, cellar notes. Nice and sweet beer.

Medium beige head. Brown body. Earthy funky sugary aroma with waxy notes. Dry-sweet earthy old cellar and barnyard taste. Mid-bodied. Mild mouthfeel with acid bite. Dryish-alcoholic earthy floral herbal aftertaste with cellar notes. Nice. Drinkable and unusual. (0.33l bottle at the brewery.)

Bottle thanks to Wedgie9. My first "faro" rating. Pours a muddy brown. Nose is musty sour dark fruit. Taste is butterscotch candy, sweet caramel, dark fruits. Very sweet with some sour. You either hate or love it. I understand most people hating this. You got to like the sweet stuff to like it. Their beers taste like caramelized candy. I really love this brewery. Most people don’t. That’s fine with me. Send De Troch my way if you don’t like it.

Bottle from 2-be in Bruges. Pours dark amber with a slight off-white head. Rather strange sweet/sour aroma. Medium plus body with mild carbonation. It is sweet/sour. Maybe a bit of oak in the finish. Sweet/sour - back/forth. Finish is towards oak astringence. Overall I think I like it.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy dark burgundy color lambic with a small foamy head with light retention and no lacing. Aroma of syrup and sugar is somewhat gross with light oak notes and no funky notes. Taste is also dominated by gross sugar and syrup with limited complexity from the oak or the base lambic. Body is full with minimal complexity and a minimal carbonation.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy amber with a medium frothy off white head that lasts awhile leaving good sticky lacing on the glass. The aroma is a strong vinegar and tart. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet fruit taste with apple with a sour finish. My first Faro and was pleasantly surprised by this one.
