Notes from October 2011 Bottle from a place void of joy. Poured into a slender-ish Rare Vos glass. Soft, brittle inch of white foam. Color & clarity of Lipton iced tea. Smells of vinegar & caramel aged in a bucket made of wood. Tastes of cider vinegar spiked with loads of white table sugar. Cream soda, Sweet Tarts, lime, & popsicle sticks. The texture of carbonated syrup. Sort of like a Shirley Temple. I have such a headache.

13/11/2022. Bottle bought at La Cave du 6eme KM, Noumea. Pours almost clear pale amber with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is white sugar and vinegar, stale citrus, wet walnut. Medium sweetness with tainted sour. Moderate body, low carbonation. Tangy tart vinegar finish. Poor example of the faro style.

@home poured into a tumbler. Sour woody nose. Clear deep amber colour, thin fizzy off-white head, vanishes in a wink, no lacing. Sour aroma, very woody, apple syrup (rinse appelstroop) brett, light vinegar. Taste medium sweet and light sour, lemony, candy sugar, apple syrup (rinse appelstroop), woody notes. Light body, sticky texture, flat carbonation, medium sweet'n'sour aftertaste, woody and sugary notes, anachronistic feel, really nice.

*rating overgezet* Het is een amberkleurig bier met weinig schuim. Het heeft een wrange cider achtige geur. De smaak is zoet, suiker en appel cider achtig.

250ml bottle from RusBeerShop in Moscow. Pours foggy red-brown with no head. Aroma is vinegar, caramel, apples. Taste is medium sweet, followed by medium sourness, apples, vinegar. Weird but ok.

Orange color. Sugary aroma, cinnamon, speculaas (sweet Dutch cookie with a cinnamon flavor). Very sweet and syrupy with only a hint of sourness. Cinnamon and grapes.

RB backlog. Intense and musty, soy sauce, some cherries, vinaigrette, stone fruits. Medium to heavy sweetness, tangy notes of leather and leaves, sour finish. Not unpleasant, but just a little weird.

What the f….. First I thought. WoW. A Faro. They are normally rare. And I like them. This one should be hidden for all eternity. Not meant for human consumption. Ok it should be a bit sugar stuff. That was the only thing I can say is ok with this one. Hmmm no it was actually to much sugar here. No balance at all. Also a nutty body with no head at all. Yeast and candy sugar in both a aroma and flavor. Well it felt like a candy sugar lemonade. It was a very soft carbonation level also. Money back please.

Bottle. Brown color with small white head. Ugly, artificial, sweet aroma. Rotten eggs, tone of sugar in taste.
