12 oz. bottle, Purchased at Julio’s Liquors and received the Wild Six. Darker copper color with thin head in the snifter. Aroma is a pleasant fruit hop note initially followed by a nice rye and rounded by light caramel malt notes.
Oh YEAH! The flavor shows a nice rye presence through out the sip with a underlying fruit hop that transitions into a pine in the finish. The bitterness is a lingering pine with the fruit there put forward and giving way to the pine. Sweetness from the malts make this still on the balanced side. Overall this is a well balanced as described "bittersweet" piney, fruity with a light toffee/ caramel sweetness. Very nicely done, delightful to drink.

12 oz bottle. Pours a drop orange/red with full head. Aromas of caramel, malt extract and grass much like a barley wine. Flavors of toffee/grass, bitter dried oranges, and toasted malts. The rye adds a nice sharp note. ABV is noticeable but does not distract too much. Very enjoyable.

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a dark amber/red colored body with a one and a half finger’s worth of foamy white head that leaves some lacing that clings to a spider web effect to the sides of the glass.
The smell was a sweet and spicy rye malt, some sweet sugary notes.
The taste was mainly sweet through the previously noted aromas, sticky rye aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, it sat at/about a medium, actually slightly sessionable despite the alcohol saying its supposed to be at 10% so it seems to be hidden well (I wonder how old this is...?). Carbonation is pretty smooth for a DIPA.
Overall, this is a good DIPA that I would come back to. I like the fact that for the ABV it comes across fairly drinkable.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy deep orange copper color with a 1-2 finger dense cream colored head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, pineapple, citrus rind, floral, grass, rye, caramel, toast, pine, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good complexity of citrus/earthy hops and moderate caramel/rye malt sweetness; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, pineapple, citrus rind, floral, grass, pine, rye, caramel, toast, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of floral/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, pineapple, citrus rind, floral, grass, pine, caramel, rye, toast, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity of big citrus/earthy hops with a good amount of malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a very smooth and moderately slick/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent DIPA. All around great complexity of bright citrus/earthy hop and nicely balanced malt sweetness; and very smooth to sip on for the big ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle: Poured a coppery orange brown with a thin off white head. Aroma is strong sweet floral hops and malt. Taste is strong gritty hops forward that subside to malt balance. Finish is peppery and spice tingle.

Drought at International Great Beer Expo (Meadowlands). Light amber color, whitish foamy head, hoppy aroma, high carbonation, longish finish with bitter aftertaste. The hoppy taste is too strong.

Transparent copper pour with thin head. Hoppy bready slightly boozy aroma. Taste starts with deep bitter hops (less of the citrus/floral flavor), then malty bread flavor (from the rye?), then dry boozy finish. Not bad - one of the best beers tried from the usually-disappointing brewery. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
