Bottle: Poured a coppery orange brown with a thin off white head. Aroma is strong sweet floral hops and malt. Taste is strong gritty hops forward that subside to malt balance. Finish is peppery and spice tingle.

Drought at International Great Beer Expo (Meadowlands). Light amber color, whitish foamy head, hoppy aroma, high carbonation, longish finish with bitter aftertaste. The hoppy taste is too strong.

Transparent copper pour with thin head. Hoppy bready slightly boozy aroma. Taste starts with deep bitter hops (less of the citrus/floral flavor), then malty bread flavor (from the rye?), then dry boozy finish. Not bad - one of the best beers tried from the usually-disappointing brewery. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 ounce bottle. Dark amber red color topped by a medium-sized creamy beige head. Rich toasted malt aroma has obvious notes of rye malt. Complex toasted malt combines with piney hops to produce a big bodied bittersweet ale. Finishes bitter and spicy with astringent notes.

Bottle. Pours clear reddish amber with a medium tan head that dissipates with good lacing. Aroma is caramel, pine, rye, a bit of citrus. Flavor is strong rye and caramel with pine notes prominent. A fair amount of spice. Light sweet and a medium to strong bitter finish. ABV is well masked. This is a real malt bomb, with a huge hop bitterness to back it up. Malt bomb IPAs are not usually my thing, but this is interesting anyway.

Pours dark ruby with a large, lasting head.Big resinous, hoppy aroma with loads of sweet caramel underneath. Bready and spicy notes are very noticeable.Similar flavours, with the malt being the main show. Lots of caramel and golden syrup. Aggressive piny and resinous hops leading to a bold, sharp bitterness.Could use more carbonation, the body feels thick and syrupy.A crazily malty DIPA.
