On tap at the first night of "43 hours of dark" at the Birch. Pours opaque black with a small brown head and decent lacing. Aroma is coffee and roasted malts, with notes of whiskey and something a bit musty. Flavor is the same, medium sweet with a strong coffee presence and not much bitterness. Medium body with a dry clean finish.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of Elwood. Pours an opaque pitch black with a small light brown head. Both coffee and Bourbon comes through nicely in the nose. Rich and filling body, lowish carbonation. Sweet roast, quite some molasses and cocoa with the vanillaish Bourbon notes rounding things off perfectly. No real bitterness. Lovely. 221112
