Shared with Beerhunter111 and Koelschtrinker. Intense fruity floral beginning. Lots of pine and resin, fruity and dry with a grainy back. Not too sweetish, easy to drink with a slightly grainy aftertaste.

330ml bottle. Totally hazy, yellow-ish golden colour with small, frothy, fading, white head. Tropical fruity hoppy and oaty, wheaty, malty aroma, rather unspecific fruitiness, a mango, passion fruit, papaya mixture. Taste is sweet-ish, sugary malty and tropical fruity hoppy, again a juicy mixture of indistinguishable tropical fruit. Uselessly strong for mediocre flavour. Sudden Death normally knows how to do better.

Milkshake IPA (containing lactose) at 'imperial' 10% ABV level, from a brewery in Schleswig-Holstein that apparently radically takes the Anglo-Saxon road rather than following the German brewing traditions, always interesting to see how Germany increasingly adopts the new U.S.-inspired craft beer revolution. Thin and dissolving, open, egg-white head consisting of an irregular mousy ring and some patches in the middle; immediately cloudy, even 'milky' ochre-tinged yellow blonde robe, turning darker and more homemade pear juice-like (but headless) in the end as the sediment goes in. Aroma of tropical fruit juice and fruit salad more than anything else: a basket of mango, lime, lychee, starfruit, pisang, pineapple, pomelo, some tamarillo and granadilla, overpowering more basic notes of dough, wet flour, earth, freshly cut green weeds, old onions, yoghurt, wodka and something lightly sweaty. Utterly fruity in the onset, extremely juicy (as in tropical fruit juice), refreshing citric effects (lime, pomelo) uplifting sweet and more 'sultry' aspects of ripe mango, papaja, yellow plums and canned pineapple, softish carb adding only minor minerally aspects and not distracting from the flavours at all; evidently very soft, fluffy, creamy mouthfeel, with the creaminess enhanced by the lactose, just like the tropical fruit sweetness. Doughy malt soil remains completely drenched in this fruit juice effect, with both the lactose and the hops doing their work as they are intended to; ends with still a huge amount of tropical juiciness, mango, pineapple, some lime and papaja again, covering a powdery yeasty note - yet nowhere too much - and a warming, cleanly wodka-like alcohol aspect that nowhere becomes too apparent. Hop bitterness as such remains very limited (just that light touch of 'green powderiness' in the end). Vague 'dank' sweatiness, even something stinky (like rotting fruit), is noticeable retronasally, but not strong enough to ruin the overall tropical fruit juice effect which was obviously intended. Intensely fruity, no hop burn, everything you'd expect from a 'triple milkshake IPA', and as modern (and hipster) as it gets. I had my share of New England style IPAs, where this milkshake IPA thing seems to be a subdivision of, and this one is far from the worst, though I hasten to add that this will probably never be my preferred style even within the wider IPA world. Goes down dangerously easily with all that juiciness, creaminess and sweetness, though - and that can be considered a plus in any 'triple' or 'imperial' IPA.

Bottle shared with Inoven and TomHendriksen. Hazy pale yellow color, small white head. Smell and taste have lightly malts, huge hoppiness, tropical fruit hops, sweet, over the top tropical fruit hops. Too much over the top tropical fruit hoppiness for me to like it. 6-2-6-3-11.

Süffiger, blumig hopfiger Beginn. Angenehme Herbe, nicht erkennbar alkoholisch, das Bier macht aber den Eindruck, bei weniger Alkohol die gleiche Aromenvielfalt erzeugen zu können. Rund, mittellanger Abgang, nett. 9/10/9/9/7/9
