Really nice doppelbock, with a craft + german feel to it, not the classic example, but a bit more sweetness and body that I like. Landgang hamburg

Bottle from Edeka in HH. Malty woody dry caramel. Dry fruity bock. Very malty dry with watery parts. Round and caramelly dry, dusty in the end with a very dry bitterness. Dry bitter caramelly bock with dusty parts. No sweetness, a bit unround, earthy with slightly sourish parts.

06-04-19 // taster at Spring Beer Days Hamburg Not as good as some of the other Senatsbock examples. Lacks a fuller body. But still a nice Bock just simple.

Bottle @ Barley & Malt, Hamburg. Clear very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, dark malt, light oxidized and heavy Parmesan cheese. I’ve never had the aroma of Parmesan chesse in a beer before, so this was a first. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet finish. Somewhat thin for the ABV. 290319

0,33 l bottle from Craft Beer Store, Hamburg. Nearly black in the glass with an one finger beige head. Intensive malty smell, little bit sourness like grass silage. Taste is also intensive malty, decent sweet. Some wood elements and dark berry fruits. Hints of nuts. Getting dry and crisp hopy in the second part. Alcoholic background. A nice interpretation of that theme.
