Can @ Bier Markt Ottawa. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy but stable tan head. Clear aroma of malt and fruit, with touches of roast and coffee. Sweetish flavour of caramel malt and chocolate, with estery and roasty notes and touches of coffee. Bitter, roasty aftertaste. Creamy mouthfeel. Warming alcohol presence. Well-balanced and nice. Decent.

Can from LCBO in Ottawa. Dark brown-black pour with minimal head. Aroma is toasty, mildly raisiny, chocolate and coffee. Taste isn't as big as I thought - quite drinkable though. Chocolate, some coffee, roasted malt. Bitterness is more burnt than hop, but both present. Not a bad imperial stout at all - more drinkable than most

Can from the LCBO. Deep black pour with a small tight tan head that fades quickly to a sheet. Nose is roasted malts, coffee, dark fruits and faint vanilla and chocolate. Lightly sweet toffee start followed by bitter coffee and roasted nuts with a little smokiness and a warming bitter finish. Medium slick palate with soft carbonation.

(can) clear very dark colour with a medium tall brown head; faint aromas of roast, metal, stewed fruit; watery palate; mostly sweet simple flavour with a long light bitter finish, disappointing for an imperial stout

500mL can, sent from wilco (thanks Mike), pours pitch black with a medium tan head with long retention. Aroma of light roasted malt, cocoa powder, a bit of chalk, and a touch of espresso. Flavour of medium roasted malt upfront, bitter cocoa powder, and light espresso. Full-bodied, well-balanced between the cocoa powder bitterness and coffee. Solid impie stout - nothing out of the ordinary, but executed extremely well.

Canette 473ml.
