Can at Chriso Tasting, London. Thanks, Chris! Pours oily black with a brown foam cap. Dark malt nose with notes of tar and rich bread. Burnt toast and dark sugars in the flavor, with some baking cocoa as well. Medium to full in body, lightly chewy. Sweet finish, lightly sticky with licorice, chocolate and modest roast. Good balance, nice nuance.

47.3 cl bottle. Pours hazy dark brown to black with a small tan head. Arma is roasted malty and light chocolate. Roasted malty, chocolate and medium sweet. Breadish and roasted. Lingering dark chocolate finish.

Black color, no head. Aroma of roasted malt and some chocolate. Roasted malt and chocolate flavor, but tired, a bit rancid; medium body strength (weaker than expected); light coffee in the end; ordinary bitterness; the final seems short.
Not the most complex of Imperial Stouts.

On tap at GCBF. Pours a very dark brown with little head. Aroma of roasted malts. Flavors of light chocolate and malts. OK.

Smells of roast malt and alcohol, coffee. some decent pungency here. Pours black with average lacing - some staying power. Taste has more coffee bean abut not a super long aftertaste. Its a good drink, but nothing competive in the imp stout variety. On tap at wvrst.

This Imperial Stout poured a black colour with a thick tan head, that dissapated faster then most stout. Had scent of coffee and molasses. Picked-up some sweetness. Tasted pretty sour / bitter, and not very sweet (suprisingly). The mouthfeel was oily and smooth, and the high alcohol was very well hidden. Pretty interesting.

473 ml can from matt7215. Who has really good beer to trade. Thanks man! Pours very black with a good dark tan head. Aroma of chocolate. And dark toasted malt. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is burnt malt, chocolate, anise?, coffee? Almost chewy at points. Coffee does come forth in the finish. Nicely bitter. Good stuff.

On the Nitro at Volo. Pitch black, with a tall, funky-shaped head. Big coffee and caramel aroma, with a bit of chocolate, roasted malt, and cream. Sweet, rich milky flavor, with port, sour cream, a bit of alcohol, and roasted grains. Dead burnt finish. a bit too light for the flavor. A great strong stout. A bit heavy and simplistic. Aroma was mostly roast, with some coffee and maybe a bit of caramel-chocolate. The flavor was sweetish, with some caramel-chocolate up front, less coffee and mild roast in the finish. Somewhat simplistic overall, slightly chewy, magnified by the very low carbonation. Very dark with no head.

Dark head, gone in seconds, leaving a near fully black liquid. Blue cheese, liquorice, coffee, but not very outspoken nose. Lots of dry coffee, tobacco/tobacco ash notes, slightly salty (shrimp). Every sip ends bitter to quite bitter, with obviously a hop leg, chicory. Burnt coffee remains the main flavour, nonetheless. Faint molasses retronasal, without any real sweetness. MF seems initially a bit watery. Whilst the roasted grains aid to this, this is supposed to be an Imperial Stout, no? Only after some time, there is a bit of slickness in the throat.
