Nice roasty chocolate/coffee aroma. Flavour is sweet, and creamy. Tastes of chocolate, coffee, and a touch of fruit. Very smooth, with a touch of bitterness in the finish. A very light stout, a bit watery, basic roasted malt notes, with hints of cocoa, and coffee.

Originally rated March 2008. This stout pours a real dark brown colour with slight red highlights. Its head is beige-brown and has a decent size, with very good retention. First aromas are of coffee and chocolat, and after breathing, the hops sticks out. The mouthfeel is a bit thicker than normal beers, but does not stick, which make this brew a refreshing one. The taste seems a bit watered down, with notes of chocolat and coffee, but not really sweet, and not too bitter. The roasted malt is present. Original review text: Can that pours a real dark brown colour, almost black, with hardly any highlights. The mocha-coloured head is big, frothy, with good retention and some decent lacing. Lots of molasses in the nose with notes of dark fruits and roasted malts. Then, coffee and mild grassy hops come out. The taste is light, as the beer is only 4.2% ABV. with the roasted malts and some nice bitterness in the finish. Hints of molasses linger in the finish. A dry enough mouthfeel. A well-brewed session stout.

Dark brown. Fudgey aroma with light nuts and soft chocolate. Fairly smokey, fudgey body. Smooth and drinkable, though it finishes with a hint of acetaldehyde.

A deep dark stout with mahoganey hues and a thick moka head. Caramel and chocolate aroma, with light diacetyl notes. In mouth, a good chocolate malt with light peaty notes. Light yet refreshing. Can from LCBO, tasted May 2007.

Courtesy of Degarth. The 1 liter bottle pours deep dark amber with one inch semi frothy head with spotty lacing. The aroma is fairly mild with roasty malts, burnt malts, licorice and faint chocolate malts. The taste is more assertive than the nose with roasty malts that seem to linger before a combination of burnt malts, malt balls, chocolate malts, licorice and charred malts surface and carry into the finish.
