STEENBRUGGE Wit-Blanche abbey beer is a wheat beer brewed with 40% unmalted wheat and 60% malt. It has a refreshing flavour and a fruity, lightly smoked yeast aroma combined with the subtle Bruges “gruut” blend of herbs and spices, with an emphasis on coriander and Curaçao.

Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours golden, fairly transparent, with fine white foam. Aroma is cereal and yeasty, floral. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is moderately sweet. Final is average.

0.33l bottle. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Simple witbier that's a bit restrained in the aroma but shows the classic characteristics of the style in the sip. Coriander and orange zest appear with some perfume and sugar syrup. OK beer.
