date: 1.1.11 - rating number 4444. bottle. Hazy brownish-golden colour with lots of floaties, jelly-like consistency. Large beige head. Malty nose. Malty, caramel, dried dates, prunes, raisins. A touch of hop in the finish. Despite the looks the beer was fine.

(Bottle, 0.33l - BBE2010, at Kulminator) The beer poured deep reddish brown and quite clear. Its head was medium sized and very lightly brown. Aroma had raisins, dried plum and malts. Palate was full bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, raisin, dried plum, lighlty fruitiness, sweetness and bitterness. Afterteaste was dry and had raisins and malts. This beer had aged nicely. No earthly components were present - just nice raisiny maltiness.

Dark foggy brown body with huge off-white head. In spite of its dark appearance, the aroma is all perfumy hops. Taste is barley, lots of hops, and a searing alcoholic finish. Wow. The three are right there, very well balanced, shouting at you in their parade on your palate. Barley! Hops! Alcohol! Right-O, another sip! In spite of its simplicity, the approach and the sequence is admirable. No muddiness here; you can time the flavours like clockwork. I like that.

200ml, draught at Mikkeller Bar. Deep mahogany coloured body. Ring to the rim of the glass. Caramel malty aroma added by a light spicy touch. Rather comprehensive taste profile containing dark spices, anise and dried fruits like raisin and prunes. Well bodied with integrated alcohol (Copenhagen, 05.11.2010).

750mL bottle, pours dark amber with a big off-white head. Aroma of sweet dark fruits (raisins, figs, dates), caramel malts, and toffee. Complex fruity flavour, with caramel / toffee in the middle, and a fruity, bitter finish. Really great.

From Dany, thanks man. 2007 bottle. Pours is very murky brown, muddy and a small head. Aroma is gingerbread with Belgian sweetness. with plenty of alcohol all around. Flavor is sweet Belgian bread malts and Belgian syrup. Its all sweet and strong yet surprisingly drinkable.

03/03 0.75 l bottle courtesy of Doggythedog, thanks for sharing! It poured murky dark brown body with medium sized brownish head. Nutty and caramel aroma. Sweetish and cloying although not too strong. Sweet flavor, caramel and toffee malt. Fainter flavors include some dark fruits, coriander spiciness, walnuts and semi dark chocolate. Really full bodied, sticky, like it can be chewed in the mouth. Long, sweetish finish. Beer is fine, but too sweet for my taste. Expected more from this famous brewery, although I like this beer.

Bottle from beershop.hr, 2010, shared with heavyPoured a medium-small thick tan head that went away at a medium pace. Dusty sweet nose, carrot and coriander. Eh. Malt and caramel too. The taste isn’t all that impressive. Malty, carrying notes of carrots again... the mouthfeel and the heaviness of taste are quite nice, but I don’t like the taste itself much. There’s a light hoppy acidity too near the end, carrying into the aftertaste. Too sweet overall maybe. Expected more.

33cl + 75cl First had the 33cl. Was very positive about this one, so I bought the 75cl as well, but that one was (surprisingly) a bit dissapointing.
Dark brown, little cloudy. Broken white head, disappeares fast. For the 33cl: very full round taste, hints of caramel, burnt malt. Slight bitter-sweet aftertaste. The 75cl: all the same but flattened down a bit. Still have another 75cl, going to save it till next christmas.
