33cl bottle. Pours a cloudy toffee colour with a nice proportional head. The nose has toffee, ginger biscuits and something zingy on the end. The taste has nuts and toffee (praline). The palate has a medium to large body and texture with a decent finish which hides the alcohol nicely. Overall, a decent Christmas beer.

(bottle, 75cl) Hazy, dark brown colour with a tall but collapsing tanned foamy head. Sweet dark malty and slightly nutty aroma with notes of dried fruits, cinnamon and a vinous Port-like touch. Sweet and delicately bitter flavour, full bodied with a well-matured and smooth carbonation. Dark and toasty malty taste with dried fruits and spicy notes; sweet and slightly bitter finish with fruity notes and Christmas-like spices. 02.III.11

Bottle: Amber coloured, lots of floaties visible, big stable off-white head; solid caramelly-fruity nose with a touch of - X-mas! - cinnamon; moderate to solid sweet flavour with a light bitter touch, full bodied, quite soft; lingering christmas-like spicy-sweet finish. Not too demanding, but pleasant, no doubt.....
