Re-rate 4-4-2020.

Appearance: Hazy amber color with a fine off white head. Ok lacing.
Aroma: Yeast, fruity and some spicy notes.
Palate: Medium + body. Mild bitterness and a balanced mild sweetness. Average carbonation.
Taste: A mild pleasant sweetness that grows in your mouth. Fruity, some spices and yeast. Dangerously well hidden alcohol.
Overall impression: Tasty and lovely ale you can relax with for a long time.
Personal stats: Bottle Gundersen brought with him at Julebordet 13.

9% a dark brown pour with a thick beige head. The aroma was a bready, sweet, yeasty malt goodness. Wow, a sweet malty, caramel, plums, bready, full bodied tasty beer. I am quite impressed, this much flavor for 6 bucks is a good value. I am kind of surprised how much I liked this, it has layers of flavor but is mellow & is great to sip from a snifter.

A very dark brown beer with an almost big and blond head. The nose of dark fruits, prune, some spices, hint of earthy sourness and anise. Taste is smooth, dark fruits, prune, anise, some spices that are more dominating in the end. Almost full bodied, smooth carbonation, pleasant to drink. Nöel is high-quality Abbaye des Rocs beer, dark fruits in the smooth package.

330ml bottle from Appellation Wines, Dalry. Pours clear dark brown with a small white head. Aromas of prune and booze at first, moving on to more complex spice aromas, and more dark stone fruit, hints of bubblegum. Sweet taste, but a clean finish.

SAQ private import with a best before date 19/10/2014. Pours an amber colour with loads of floaties all around. The head is beige, creamy, long lasting and gives out patchy, thick lacing. At first, aromas of mild dark fruits, but with time, the Belgian Ale yeast comes out blending with the roasted malts with hints of chocolate and vanilla. The taste shows the roasted malt very lightly. Started sweet at first with some fruity malts. A darker Belgian ale that is far from the North American Christmas beer, with cinnamon and other spices. Decent brew, but not my thing.

Swirtne piwo, wspaniale wyglada jest ciemne i prawie nieprzezroczyste. To jeden z moich ulubionych browarow.
