The appearance of this exceptional beer is matched only by its taste! To make our Framboise, we add raspberry juice to our lambic. That gives it a delicate fruity aroma and a beautiful dark pink colour, just like the dress I wore to our cousin Willy's wedding. (But that's of no interest to you since you undoubtedly don't know Willy). Framboise is served as an aperitif, but I also use it in cooking. And when I don't finish the bottle in my preparations, I finish it in my glass.

375ml bottle from the High Point shared with wife and daughter. BB 2019-04-14. Pours a very deep purple with a rose head. Aroma is sweet raspberries jam. Taste is very sweet, like you added a water to the raspberry jam to prepare a fruit tea. Not even close to the beer.

Bottle, 0.25l. Cloudy deep ruby pour, one finger frothy pink head. Medium retention, good lacing. Fruity nose, raspberry, some sugar, touch of caramel. Thin body, medium carbonation. Lively on the tongue, light texture. Fruity sour taste followed by slight sugary sweetness. Good balance between the two. Aroma like the nose, raspberry dominates the palate. Some citric acid, a bit of sugar. Sour cherries. Caramel malts, syrupy. Some herbal notes. Dry finish, lasting tartness on the tongue. Overall, quite tasty. Nicely balanced and refreshing, kinda makes me go for another one.

Fles thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een donker rood bier met een rode schuimkraag. Het heeft een zoete frambozen geur. De smaak is erg zoet, framboos, maar weinig bier. Net cassis maar wel lekker.

250 ml bottle. Pours with a deep red color and a large reddish head. Nose is very fruity, easpberries, kind of other red berries, something sweet. taste follows the node, light sour and dry.

The smell is definitely raspberry but it's not, by any means, a strong nose. Pretty subtle to me actually.
The taste is a wonderful sweet but not too sweet raspberry that has a nice sour twang in the finish and just does all sorts of nice things to my palate. Yummy. Seriously, I could drink this all night if I was in the mood. ;^)
Bottom line: If you like fruit beers, this Framboise is one you can not over look. I love it!

Beautiful red with little pink head. Aroma is raspberry marmelade, oak. Taste is sour raspberries and incredibly sweet. Drinkable and tasty. Smooth. Tart oaky finish. Another milestone in my inexplainable love for raspberries.
