(Bottle 30 cl) Courtesy of jbrus. Very hazy and opaque dark, amber golden with a creamy, beige head. Fat, sweetish aroma of burned caramel. Quite full-bodied with sweetish, roasted malt and burned caramel accents. Subdued bitterness. Very delicious. 110108

30 cL bottle. Pours murky brown with a fully diminished off-white head. Deep dried fruity aroma. Flavour is liqourice and with a solid dried fruity note. Lingering fruity and dark malty finish. Nice.

Fizzy, off-white head. Instantly diminishing. Muddy, orange-brown body. Aroma of hops and liquor. Moderately bitter, lightly sweet finish. Quite nice one.

Hazy amber-brown, good yellowish brown head, persistent. Warm, diacetyl-like buttery nose, as a young, but strong beer. Sweet, alcoholic, vegetable burn, and raw taste. This is terribly unrefined. Finish totally buttery. Fizzy and aggressive MF, alcohol overpersistent. IMO, Mommeriete started superb. But what I get these days...

(bottle, received from bierkoning) Hazy reddish brown colour with a huge frothy beige head. Molassy sweet toasted malt aroma, slightly fruity and spicy. Sweet flavour, full bodied, creamy textured. Initially sweet toastmalty taste, slightly sour fruity (plums), sweet and spicy finish with a present alcoholic note.

Hazy dark nut brown, like mud. Not much head. Aroma has molasses, chocolate, coca cola, candy and spices - really parfumic. Medium to full-bodied. Strange mixture of licorice, vinegar, like drinking sweetened Jägermeister. Great and unique taste.

Rerate: tap @ Drie Dorstige Herten. Dark color, short brown head. Aroma of dark malts, roasted, caramel sweetness, soft yeast esters which make it a bit more fruity, some cookie. Bit sweet taste, smooth, bit creamy. Great Belgian Abt style beer. Has definitely much improved with the new recipe! Original from 2005, bottled. Cloudy brown, short off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt. Bit sour taste, malty and fruity. Palate is quite sour, pity. 2.8
