Pours a deep red-copper color. A special batch of Inis & Gunn beer was brewed and matured in oak for 60 days; 30 days in American oak barrels, and 30 days in navy rum barrels. It was then matured 47 more days for a full marriage of flavors.

NOTE: Rum Aged, Rum Finish & Oak Aged Rum Finish are the same beer as Rum Cask. They are an alias for different export markets with a tweaked process.

Innis & Gunn: "They are the same beer, the process changed slightly so we changed the name. But the recipe is the same.

0.33 l bottle from secret Santa! Shared with Mlađo. Clear amber, small off-white head. Caramel, biscuit, wood, light rum. Soft oxidation. Light butter. Sweet. Watery. No alcohol. Light body. Rum in the finish, slightly fake. Not impressed.

Super clear light brown coloured body with a tiny bit of a tan head that fades immediately and leaves nothing on top. Aroma of toast, light caramel and toffee with a little dose of rum and oak around the edges, but the major smell is the malt with only a touch of smoke as well noticeable. Light to perhaps Medium-bodied; Strong rum flavour at first with some floral notes showing through the light malt and toasted grain and toffee notes with a dose of alcohol, some light peat and small smoked flavours and very little else, absolutely no body as well. Aftertaste shows the rum and sweetness front and centre with some of the smoked flavours but not much of the malt or anything of substance or complexity near the end - simple and sweet with hints of oak and rum. Overall, a decent beer, if that, with some mellow rum flavours, a touch of alcohol with the sweetness very noticeable towards the end. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Harris Teeter in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 20-June-2017 for US$1,17 sampled on the day of the FA Cup Final (Chelsea) and some Royal Wedding in England on 19-May-2018.

Good balance between sweet and bitter. Caramelly, roasty, plenty of wood and just the right amount of rum. Very easy drinking, with plenty of flavor.

Bottle. Slightly unclear dark amber color with white head. Aroma is bubblegum, toffee, buttered caramel, honey, quite sweet. Taste is more bubblegum, caramel, honey, fudge. Oily mouthfeel with natural carbonation. Sweet, but quite pleasant nonetheless.
