375 ml Bottle purchased at While Foods. Dirty purple/ golden hue appearance. Aroma has a little funk, maybe a mild astringent note. Shows a good amount of juice and mild Bretty funk. Sourness comes from the plum itself rather than any other element of a sour ale. Goes done extremely easy. "I can feel it down in my plums"- Will Ferrell -

375 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 12/3/2016. Pours lightly hazy golden orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big tart/sour plum, peach, apricot, fruit skin, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, pear, green apple, melon, white wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, wheat, and cracker; with light notes of leathery/musty funk, pepper, white wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, plums, citrus/fruity hops, pale malt, and wine barrel notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/sour plum, peach, apricot, fruit skin, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, pear, green apple, melon, white wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, wheat, and cracker; with light notes of leathery/musty funk, pepper, white wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness and yeast/oak spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/sour plum, peach, apricot, fruit skin, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, pear, green apple, melon, white wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, pepper, light funk/vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, plums, citrus/fruity hops, pale malt, and wine barrel flavors; with an awesome malt/tartness and yeast/oak spiciness balance; with zero puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tart/spiciness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/acidic, and lightly tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.8%. Overall this is outstanding fruited sour/wild ale. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, plums, citrus/fruity hops, pale malt, and wine barrel flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly lactic/tangy/drying finish. Really well rounded Brett complexity and solid lacto presence; awesome balance of plums, citrus/fruity hops, and wine barrels; with a nice malt backbone to balance the acidity. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

Straightforward, good, fruity sour beer. Aroma’s sour, fruit, a little funk. Flavor’s like nose, a moderate tart forward, fruit behind, then funk. Fairly dry. Great body and finish.
