SNAB introduces S.P.A. in 2000. Our American Pale Ale (APA) was unique in Europe at the time. Inspired by the hoppy and aromatic beers of the American west coast, snab brews a complex beer, rich in aroma and taste, easy to drink and thirst-quenching. The yeast comes from Oregon, the cascade and Amarillo hops from the Yakima Valley in Washington. dry-hopping is used to further refine and emphasize the pronounced hop character.

Slightly hazy golden coloured body with a frothy white head. Aroma of very fragrant cascade (can it be?) hops with some grass and perfume. Medium-bodied; Spicey hops up front with a good malt backbone and plenty of alcohol & effervescent hops noticeable. Aftertaste shows good character of an APA - a bit on the dutch ’light’, pilsen side, but still great to try! I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from BioMarkt in Amsterdam, Holland on 28-December-2007.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pours a beautiful, clear amber golden with a creamy, off-white head leaving some laces. Fresh, lightly citrusy hop aroma. Fairly heavy carbonation. Medium body with lightly sweet caramel and then a dry, hoppy finish - not overly bitter though. Courtesy of jbrus. 040307

Draught. Very nice hop aroma. Dry hopped with some citric hop, I think. Clear, dark amber colour. Small head. Flavour is nice, but the hops get too much IMO. The hoppiness turns a bit sour after some sips. Nice carbonation. Smooth and swelling mouthfeel.

The aroma is of corriander, hops, and grass. The color is an unclear amber and it has a beutiful head. The flavor is dominated by oranges, hops, red currant, rowan berries, and grass. The end is nicely bitter.

Cloudy orange copper color, with beautiful thick creamy remaining head. Fruity and spicy aroma. Bit fruity and malty taste, some sour amber i call it, quite hoppy. Palate is a bit dry, but lasting. Again, i am surprised by this brew from the S.N.A.B.!
