330ml bottle [as "Gerrie Hondius", part of the Bekenesserkerk series]. Slightly cloudy, yellow-ish, pale golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Style-adequate aroma with a prevalence on the sweet-ish, orangey side. Taste is better balanced, fuller, starts citrusy with explicit lemon note, moderately sweet middle part with hints of orange, finishes fully developed with wheaty basis, coriander and other spices, a tart lemon touch, orange zest, floral notes, a herbal hoppy touch. Light bodied but rather rich and flavourful.

Tap tasted on 03/05/2014. Intensive clear colour with a creamy white head. Aroma of banana, citrus and some spicy. Too much carbonation on the taste mixed with lemon and some spicy. Next one please.

Good witbier, mostly thanks to the use of gruit. It has the distinctive taste of wheat and herbs, but with a unique touch.

Bottle at the Brouwcafe, Scheveningen. Poured a cloudy amber with a thin white frothy head. The aroma is of banana leading to a fruity, yeasty, very slightly malty flavour with some citrus notes on the palate.
