Deze Imperial Stout is gebrouwen met turf gerookte mout. Hierdoor ontstaat een volle smaak met geroosterde en gerookte tonen. Gebrouwen voor de donkere dagen om rustig van te genieten.
Naam
Deze gerookte Imperial Stout is net op tijd weg gesleept voor de poorten van de hel, zodat wij er met zijn allen van kunnen genieten. Natuurlijk heeft het daar wel wat rookgeur en smaak opgelopen.

330 ml bottle. Pours black with huge head. Aromas of creamy chocolate, dark fruit, and light smoke. Flavors follow same with additional slick roasted malts and sweet vanilla. Warm finish. Really nice subtle smoking. Good stuff.

Bottle @home. Black with a medium sized light brown head. Smells roasty, sweet, candycane, liquorice. After a while peat gets noticable and reminds me of fingerpaint a bit. Not unplwasant though. Tastes roasty, peaty, wood, oak, slightly boozy, candycane, fingerpaint, bandaid, iodine. Not a huge fan of the peatyness, but it’s not the worst offender. I can’t say it’s smokey though. Full body, soft carbo.

Bottle from ShivanDragon. Many thanks! Black colour, creamy beige foam. Nose of roasted malts, coffee, peat, caramel. Nice and drinkable peated stout. Little bit unbalanced but still very good.

Shared from bottle at Maakun’s. Thanks. Black with tan head. Sweet deep roasted chocolate malts. Rich fruity sweetness, overpowered by charcoal and ash. Marzipan, marshmallows. Big sweet in the high notes, nutty and ashy in the bass. Over medium body, juicy supple feel. Low carbonation. Tuttifrutti fruitjuice with cigarette buds and marzipan/hazelnutcake on the side.

Bottle shared. Pitch black with nice dark beige head. Lots of sweet dried fruits, quite peaty, dark chocolate, marzipan, very sugary, light alcohol, toffee, marshmallow, ash. Very sweet with roasted and alcoholic bitterness. Full bodied with some alcohol. Very peaty, but also very sweet and fruity. Kind of a weird combination but it’s not bad at all.

Flesje gedeeld tijdens proeverijtje. Bruin / opaak bier met stevig schuim. Aroma is caramel-achtig en rokerig. Smaak is zoet en rokerig. Nasmaak is bitter.

Bottle @ home shared by TomHendriksen (Roelzie86). Opaque dark brown to black color, average sized beige to slightly brownish colored head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is malts, a bit smoky, dark malts. Taste malts, a bit sweetish but also malt bitter, light caramel-ish, light peat but it’s really light so it adds a nice touch but doesn’t dominate. Not bad at all.
