Milk sugar in your stout is like cream in your coffee. Just enough sweetness to keep the dark roast in check. Rich and robust, our classic Milk Stout exhibits notes of dark chocolate, freshly brewed coffee, caramelized sugar and roasted malt.

12oz bottle of Milk Stout Nitro from Wegman’s, West Seneca, NY. Pitch black with a ring of tan head; drinking chocolate aroma; sweet lactic chocolate taste and a dry finish. A simple milk stout, rather thin and weak.

12 fl. oz bottle at the starbucks at Dulles Airport for a lot of money. Nearly black in the glass. Sweet malty at the nose. Starts creamy with toasted malt. Low bitterness. Sorry, I expected more. [7/10/2014] NITRO VERSION, 0,355 l bottle: Black in the glass, small steady head. Taste is lot of roasted malt, toffee, thick structure, long lasting aftertaste. Overall 3.2 [5/23/2015]

Draft. A- Cocoa, coffee, roasty. A- Black color, black liquid, tan head T- Coffee, cocoa, mocha, malty. P- Medium body, thin texture, average carbonation, watery finish. O- Very unimpressed. This may be the first sweet stout I didn’t like. It was extremely thin and watery and the flavors were kind of bland as well. I do like what the nitrogen does to the head. But the appearance is about all I enjoyed in this one.

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a dark black color. Thin white foamy head that’s fairly level and lasts for a good minute.
The smell had some dark roast coffee backed up by a decent amount chocolate malts.
The taste was a roasty sweetness all the way through, slight roast chocolate aftertaste with a super dry finish.
On the palate, it sits about a medium on the body with not much of a sessionable aspect to it. Carbonation is good for the style and for me. Really smooth and creamy.
Overall, I say this is good milk/sweet stout that I would more than definitely have again in a heartbeat.

Nice beer, bit on the sweet side, but not overly sweet, considering it’s a milk stout.
