Milk sugar in your stout is like cream in your coffee. Just enough sweetness to keep the dark roast in check. Rich and robust, our classic Milk Stout exhibits notes of dark chocolate, freshly brewed coffee, caramelized sugar and roasted malt.

Nitro version. Pitch black with medium brown head. Aroma is dark chocolate, a hint of coffee and lots of roasted malts. Taste is medium coffee bitterness with a little dark chocolate sweetness. Not so full body, though long finish of dark chocolate, maybe nuts or wood as well. Quite watery mouthfeel. Alright.

Opaque dark brown colour, small creamy tan head, mostly diminishing, light lacing. Aroma roasted malts, cocoa, mocha, burnt caramel, dried leaves. Light heavy sweet onset, malty, and milk chocolate, turns in the middle into medium bitter, dark chocolate, caramel notes. Bittersweet finish, chocolate notes linger on, medium body, watery to creamy texture, soft carbonation, rich and tasty, very good.

Bottle from Cocktails, Littleborough as Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro. Black with an extremely thin head. Has a very smooth texture but certainly understated with its roasted malts. Its aroma is very light, and there’s only a small sweetness in its taste.

Bottle, as Milk Stout Nitro, courtesy of SinH4, many thanks! Poured hard. Looks like a Guinness while the head is turning into its final form: Stable and dense, fine bubbles. Tastes like one of these iced coffee frappées or an iced coffee milk drink. And I mean that in a good way, as the coffee, milk and cream flavours are authentic, the sweetness matches their intensity. Slightly watery but still creamy later on. Very, very well done!
