Bipolar Bear is a White IPA, a mixture of traditional American IPA and spicy Belgian wheat beer (witbier). The orange citrus flavour and freshness of the coriander mixes with the bitterness of the IPA and the new wave Galaxy hop. Two styles in one bottle for adventurous people.

Bottle, as Bipolar Bear. Oh you GOTTA love that label. :D Misty yellow body, white head. Strong coriander and mild hoppiness in the pungent aroma, actually mixing well and lovely. Pungent, perfumey taste, coriander all over the place, citric touches, the bitterness being the IPA part really. Well, I like this really.

Tap at Borefts 2019. Poured a hazy golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, yeasty, light citrus floral hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a light, crisp, fresh, grainy, floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Light and refreshing with plenty going on. Great for a session.

[33cl from Beer52 as Bipolar Bear.] A slightly hazy straw coloured pour with a tight white head and lots of residue left in the bottle; grainy aroma with some coriander; quite tart in the mouth with a smooth grainy body; and a touch of sweet banana to finish. Definitely some hops there to balance the hefewiezen style body.

Rocky off white head stayed on hazy dark lemon coloured still body. Lemon, zest & pith aroma. Medium bodied, sharp on the tongue with a well carbonated clean back. Bitter lemon, pith, zest, grapefruit & herbaceous tastes. Nice one!

330ml bottle (as Bipolar Bear, White IPA), from Beer52 with a BBD of 8th Apr 2020. Drank at home on 16th Aug 2019 during a tasting session with myself. Left most of the sediment in the bottle, still got a light haze to the golden body, on top a thin white covering, carbonation bubbles rising through the misty brew. Lemons in the aroma and taste, some wheat and coriander esters too. Taste also citrus fruits to the fore again with a lemon feel, some grapefruit too, the wheat and coriander also still present in the flavours. A bit too much like 'Toilet Duck' for me!
