In Finland we have a special relationship with our salted licorice or 'Salmiakki' as we call it, and it's the true essence of its unique bursting flavor that we wanted to transform into liquid drinkable form. 29 November 2019. At Billie's Craft Beer Fest. Cheers to the lovely Anke, tderoeck, 77ships & Ghent beer crew! Hazy red, lasting, foamy, pink head. Aroma of raspberry, redcurrant, wheat, lemon, yoghurt. Taste has salty & sweet liquorice, mixing with raspberry & strawberry, kept together by doughy & yoghurty malt. Tart, fruity finish, lingering salty liquorice. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Doesn't really connect tastewise, don't like the salty accent here.

Pours unclear peachy pinkamber. Small to no white head. Smell is mild raspberry, licorice shows. Taste is tart, intense, salty, milder raspberry. Lingering lactic acid. Intensely sweet, sugary ( licorice ) in the late aftertaste, really conflicting the previous aroma's and flavors. Long lasting finish. A massivly unique beer that really changes towards the end. very interesting indeed, and will surely get higher reviews from people that also enjoy these flavors more than I do. I really disliked the long (ever) lasting finish of extreme sweetness by what I assume is the liquorice. Disliked it even more the second time around ( 2+ years later) so I lowered the score a bit.

Sampled at Borefts Beer Festival 2019, day 1. Hazy reddish color, average sized white to slightly pinkish head. Smell and taste remind me of rhubard mixed with unripe red fruits. A bit green plsnt like as well. Meh. Not my thing.

Can at a tasting. Lots of stuff happening, all the special ingredients are present, work very well together. Really nice balance, thin body, high carbonation. Very refreshing, interesting, innovative. Great one.
