COCONUT & VANILLA IMPERIAL STOUT...A monarchical black beer brewed with the sovereign of stouts himself.... Mr Alan Thomson of OLD CHIMNEYS. Vantablack in colour with complex layers of the finest kilned mated barley revealing monster notes of cinder toffee, worn leather, dark cocoa, toasted coconut and Madagascan vanilla. Mashed & boiled with raw coconut flakes then matured for 4 weeks on toasted coconut and Bourbon Island vanilla beans.

Sampled at Borefts Beer Festival 2019, day 1. Opaque jet black color, no head. Smell and taste malts, sweetness, vanila heavily, some kind of chocolaty flavor I can't punt my finger on). Over the top for me. Maybe maple syrup? Alright but I don't think I could drink a full bottle.

Svart. Middels høyt mørkebrunt skum som forsvinner fort. Aroma av vanilje & kokos. Silkemyk munnfølelse. Smaken nøtter, kakao & melkesjokolade. Lett tørr avslutning. Alkoholen veldig godt kamuflert.

Burk ölprivning PQ. Doftar 63% chokad och lite kokos . I munnen härlig blandning av choklad, vanilj, kokos. Medelsöt och medeltorr? Va fan menar jag?. . God välbalanserad imp stout klart bättre än jämförelse stouten ” beer geek Cocoa Shake” som var alldeles för torr och rökig. Denna dock lite för hårt kolsyrad? Varför ?

Can shared in London - huge thanks to Kenny! Pours deep brown with a creamy, tan head. Rich, with big dark malt character, toffee, dried berries. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish, more hearty dark malts, a little ashy roast, light chocolate notes. Wonderful beer overall.

Can split at L6, thanks to Kenny, 20/11/19. Pitch black with a well presented dirty tan head. Nose is rich in malts, stewed fruits, spice, toffee, molasses, chocolate. Taste comprises dark malts, dark chocolate, spice, toffee, brown sugar melt. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a rising boost. Drank well for the ABV but I felt a little short changed by this one … lacks a little depth for the hefty ABV. Got little of the advertised coconut and vanilla.

Can. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth and semi dry palate, decent fine carbonation. Smooth but slightly thin dark malts, a rich dark chocolate, a little dark chocolate cream. Dark chocolate malteasers. Smooth finish. Trace of coconut. Nice, not spectacular.
