Bottled from biernavigatie, BB15.08.14, large sample. Clear golden color, medium frothy off-white head. Aroma of grainy malt, bit bready, herbal. Bit sweet in taste, bit bitter. Its a bit too sweet to have that crisp feeling german pilseners have, but the style should have more body than the average pilsener, so for that it succeeds. Nothing really special, but nicely balanced.

Bamberg Jolly Day 2. 25/0/2014 Bottle shared outside the brewery tap. As Zimbus Drachenblut. Dark amber / brown in colour with a halo of off white head. Aroma is berry, hedgerow and caramel malts. Aroma is caramel, toffee and woody oak. Some yeaast character that tasted a bit belgian in nature. Cleanish flavour. Some unrefined sugars.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig, Karamell, würzig. Geschmack würzig malzig, leicht fruchtig, minimale Bitterkeit.

Pours a golden-amber colour with a white head that dies away after a while. Flavours of caramel, wheat, grassy hops and yeast again.

Poured into lager glass from bottle picked up in mixed Bavarian case. Clear red/amber colour with beige, frothy two-finger head. Roasted malts in the aroma mixed with a hint of dark fruit combined with some earthy and grainy hoppiness. Light body and medium carbonation. some maltiness at the beginning turning into some hoppy, slightly bitterness in the aftertaste. Tastes like it looks but a little bit bitter for a märzen beer.
