It was decided to go back to the origin. A dark brown beer with chocolate and coffee flavors that gives a firm body but remains low in alcohol percentage.
A sturdy milk chocolate body takes the lead in this beer. This is accompanied by a light touch of roasted coffee. At the very end of the taste experience, you notice a slight smokiness in the nose of the little bit of smoke malt that was added to this recipe. For hops, we resolutely opted for Belgian hops with a soft bitterness. All this together makes for a nice drinkable porter that will appeal to more than just the brown lover.
Till May 2021 brewed at 't Gaverhopke.

Clear reddish brown beer, small creamy beige head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: roasted, banana, caramel, bit sweetish, spicy touch, soft smoke, malty. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: very malty, bitter, soft roast, spicy touch, some campfire, pretty bitter. Aftertaste: meaty, smoky, nice roast, some campfire, slightly saline touch, Baltic porter-style? Damn backlog, could've been first. :p
