Oak Essenze has nearly no gas, it’s almost flat with no foam and could remind of a Madeira, Rhum or Italian Barolo Chinato. It ages at least 6 more months in bottle before being released. This fine ale is meant to be aged for years to come so buy 2 bottles and forget one in your canteen.
On the nose ripe stone fruits, raisins, chocolate, light peatiness, madeira notes, sherry notes and delicate floral hoppiness. On the palate caramel, toffee, chocolate, ripe stone fruits, raisins, sherry and warming alcohol notes.

On tap @Eurhop2019 in Rome. Amber pour with orangey highlights. Nose: caramel and canditi. Mouth: far too sugary imo, not bad mind you, syrupy fruit and residual fruit. Ok

No head, cola-coloured beer. Sweet, liquorice, lots of Madeira wine flavours, vinous. Madeira, bit mineral, vinous, oakwood. Very dry finish, with eggnogg, liquorice. Heat from the alcohol, undercarbonated but not dead. Viscous, rich, explosive. Very special beer indeed, Madeirabeer, if you want. I Mille Grazie, Jurji! /I
