Rating #9700!!! Super deep and oily brown and deep dark, almost back coloured body with a crazy velvety and oily top with a nice sheen on it, with a thinnish, single centimetre tall deep brown head on top. Aroma of roasted malt, alcohol, pistachios, rich baklava and vanilla with some canolli, ricotta cheese and pungent icing sugar here as well - super strong in the nose and full of deep notes, with the roasted malt by far the strongest. Full-bodied; Super rich flavour of pistachios, nuts, roasted malt, vanilla, lactose, cream, alcohol, oak, cedar, raisins, figs, grain and some more sweetness - from filled canolli, seemingly, with a lot of pungency throughout, but the rich flavours strike very strongly near the end. Aftertaste shows a lot of sugars and especially vanilla notes at the end, with a complex and definite dessert-based finish here with some nutty and malty richness, but the alcohol, icing sugar and lactose flavours are strong and pungent, even after this time in the can. Overall, a very nice, super pungent and sweet, rich, nutty, earthy and especially lactosey, bitter beer with a good balance, with rich flavours on every side and a complexity from the sugars that hits nicely, especially at the end. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Joe Canal's in Lawrenceville, New Jersey on 22-June-2019 for US$7,99, sampled at my house here in Washington on 27-November-2022, a day after returning from the same area, after spending Thanksgiving in the state of ConnectICut.

Brown-black pour with a medium thick tan head that diminishes gradually to a film. Patches of lace. Aroma of malt, chocolate and coconut. Full-bodied with flavors of roast malt, chocolate, nuts, coconut and cinnamon. The finish is toasty coconut and chocolate malt. Pretty good overall.

Molasses, smoke, baker's chocolate, rum nose. Black viscous pour, thin brown head. Fudge, cinnamon, molasses, licorice. Full body, easy carbonation. Lots of additives, but damn it's good.

Can shared in Canary Wharf - big thanks to MadMitch. Pours oily black-brown with a creamy, tan head. Good chocolate character, toast, toasted malts. Lovely stuff. Full bodied, chewy, with fine carbonation. Rich and gooey on the finish, lightly warming, more dark malts, raisins, chocolate. Great stuff.
