Good pale lager aroma, nice and clean, friendly and fine. Continuous rolling rising carbonation in the glass, very noteworthy. Excellent amount of fizz on the palate, likable. Initially this is surprisingly bitter then it mellows out in a way. Becomes more like a good pale lager. Taste after taste it becomes more and more friendly. I want to give it a 4 for taste but the enjoyable factor on this stuff is pretty high so I’ll notch it up to a 5 or 6. Remnants of pilsner bitter bite on the finish, refreshing to the end. A likable beer. Probably an excellent session brew.

500ml bottle from Quaffs, Spitalfields Market. Pale gold with thick white head. Light lager aroma, bit of metallic pale malt. Very light in mouth, with a quickly disappearing flavour. Some metallic carbonated sting. Faint lemon. No off flavours, but just a lack of anything. 2.2/5 re-rate The Bowl Inn Hastingleigh, clear gold poured into a Kulmbacher glass. Some fullness from the malt some herby lemon from the hop, moderate bitterness on the finish. Decent PIls.

5L keg at our Septoberfest party. This beer pours a pale yellow color with a medium thick and frothy white head that diminishes slowly. Spotty lacing. Aroma of mild hops and grainy malt. Light-bodied with a bready malt and hops flavor. Not a whole lot else going on aside from touches of spice. The finish is clean and earthy with a short-lived malt aftertaste. Average-ish.

Bottle: Pours a transparent yellow/ gold with a short lived white head. Light lacing. Smells of yeast and bread, light maltiness. Very smooth taste of sweet malts, bready notes, and very minimal bitters.

Pour is a golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet malts that turn a little soapy. Flavor is a little better. Some grains and cereal are there in a decent way but hops are a no show. Nothing really great other than this would be a good session pils.

Bottle. Clear yellow / golden color with a average fizzy fair lacing white head. Aroma is moderate malty and hoppy, straw. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. A refreshing Pils but nothing to write home about.

This is a solid German pils. It does have some soap in the flavor, but there are also hops and a light malt base. Refreshing, more than it is anything else. Gold color, well carbonated.

Bottled (BB 10/2006)
Pale golden color, lively carbonation, decent white creamy head. Metallic hoppy aroma. Sparkling carbonation dominates palate. Metallic, woody, Czech-type pils (without buttery flavors). Good malty background. Just slightly up from "German bulk lagers" -pils.
