The history of Trekhgornoe Beer began in 1875. Then Trekhgornoe Brewing Partnership was founded and The Three Hills Factory was built in the suburbs of Moscow. Today this territory is considered a part of Moscow called the Krasnaya Presnya district. The two coats of arms symbols on the bottle and the label Trekhgornoe beer label prove how highly regarded this beer became during the times of the Tsars. Moscow Brewing Company has restored the traditional Trekhgornoe Moscow beer for 21st century consumption. Advanced manufacturing techniques and innovative technologies, original design and high quality ingredients are combined in Trekhgornoe. Trekhgornoye Beer is the official partner of legendary football club "Spartak-Moscow".

A big bottle kindly shared by djoeye. Pours a clear amber body. Off-white head with fine retention. Fair lacing. Grainy nose, mid-sweet. Malt driven taste profile joined by a backdrop of berry fruits. Slightly roasted endnotes. Rounded mouth feel. Satisfying. (Tromsø 18.07.2017).

50cl bottle from Yalçin Market, Batumi. Pours golden with a modest, white head. Mild aroma of malt and ripe fruits with hints of herbs and grass. Expected a usual pale lager, so pleasantly surprised. Not a huge difference, but more flavours, bitterness and body than expected. 1l growler like bottle. Pours clear, a bit darker golden color, topped with a small white head, non lasting. Very mild grainy nose with some mild fruity noets in the back. Slightly sweet start, hints of bitterness with peppery finish. Lots of metal and medicine feel in the aftertaste. Very messy stuff and not really nice.

The growler-like half-a-liter bottle looks good. Clear gold appearance, fine white head. Light lacing. Honey malts & floral hops on aroma. A strange dampy off-note is not welcome. Light to medium body. Clean pale malts tasting with vague bread and metal spoiling the mid phase. English yeast esters in the background. Light floral bitterness. It fits the style well and has good drinkability. Yet some details don’t let me call it a success.

Less bad than many of the Russian beers I’ve tasted. Some certified barley like FDA approval. Golden poyr with fizzy foam head. Light cloying mash vibe with a somewhat clean finish. Bottle from Beer Shop.
