Casey Brothers Extra Stout is a fuller flavour version of the classic Irish-style dry stout, with a hefty body and incredibly dense head. We employ a variety of dark malts to capture the essences of espresso, treacle, black bread and dark chocolate. Some Flahavans oats add to the smoothness of this classic beer style.

On nitro at brewery. Opaque black pour. Finger-high creamy tan head. Roasted malt aroma hints at coffee and chocolate. Flavor is more of the same. Added notes of cardamom and prunes. Soft and silky mouthfeel. Quite enjoyable.

Tap @ the brewpub. Nice creamy head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, licorice, hops, coffee and has a nice bitter finish.

Taster at the source. Pours a dark brown black color with a tightly bubbled white head that persists and leaves lots of lace on the glass. Rich roast and chocolate with hints of caramel and earthy hops. Light fruit, pretty nice stout.

Draught Ultra dense & fine, creamy head over reddish-shot black beer. Coffee, coffeebeans sweets, roasted chocolated, black beans. Bitter, roasted/burnt with some stout acidity. Lots of roasted grains and malts; coffee retronasal. Medium bodied, ultra slick (the nitrogen, no doubt) and creamy. Long bitter aftertaste. Quite decent stout!
