Our original California Kölsch is a rich golden brew, crafted with aromatic German hops and rounded out with a blend of American and Munich malts. While it's hopped like a lager, we ferment it like an ale to create a smooth, bright taste that has just a hint of fruit and spice. It's extremely drinkable, like a Kölsch should be. And complex, like a good craft beer demands.

Pour is a hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is kinda citrus and grain. Deffinatly no hops show up. Flavor is again a little citrus, grain with an ever small hop profile. It says pale ale on the bottle and kolsch on here and i agree this is more a kolsch, an average one at best.

God bless my friend Nikhil for getting a case of these for his Indian wedding. Golden yellow, frothy white head. Fruit aroma, some citrus. Solid flavor, not very Kolsch like. Fruity and grainy. Slightly watery finish.

Draft. A dark golden beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of sweet matly and caramel as well as light notes of hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel as well as lighter notes of hops, grass, and alcohol, the latter tickling the tongue, leading to a dry bitter finish.

Bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville. 2-finger head sits atop an orange-amber pour. Aroma is very corny with some sweetness and sweaty grain. Taste is grain, honey, green apple, and a touch of bitterness. Medium body.

Bottle at Capital Ale House - Downtown on 06/24/08. Clear golden body with a small frothy white head. Bready, grainy aroma with a hint of honey. Very bready flavor, whole grain bread and honey nut cheerios, some grain and a bit more honey. Medium body with moderately low carbonation.

Draught Fully clear orange-golden beer with a very fine-dense head. Slighty smoked malt, and lots of pale malts. Dry-malty taste, peanuts flavour, toasted malts and a hint at hops. At the end, restsugars aplenty, and one would suspect an addition of corn - in a Kölsch... Light bodied, quite slick and not really empty; very slight burning MF. Definitely a "Kölsch" with an American twist, if not really superfluous.
