typical wheat beer pour, golden yellow, and cloudy. Nice big fluffy head. Nice aroma of bananas, cloves, caramel, and some notes of apple. Flavour is more banana, its very typical of a hefeweizen, but you can tell the 10% is there. It’s strong, but enjoyable. A nice beer, the 750ml was a little much, but a very nice sipper.

2009 vintage C&C 750 mL bottle shared by Butters at the 15th Richmond Ratebeer Gathering, 7/16/11. Pours a hazy amber color with a large frothy head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of bread, caramel, stone fruits and leafy hops. The taste is rich caramel malts, stone fruits, vanilla. Full bodied. Very smooth. Very nice beer.

Bottle at Paul and Ryan’s tasting. I think this is the right entry, though the label is different and it says "Weizen Imperiale Grande Cuvee Ete 2009". Pours cloudy orange. Nose of grain alcohol, vegetable and wheat. Taste is toffee, wheat, scotch, pine nuts and alcohol.

Originally rated September 2006. Written 2006 on top of the logo on the front label. Pours a cloudy beige-amber colour with a nice white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a good creamy lace ring. Mild banana bread aroma with wtibier yeast and caramel malt. Watery mouthfeel with no burn. The taste is a mix of grains and cloves, with the bananas in the background and a touch of vanilla. Pretty good brew, but now have to wait a long time for the 2007 edition.

2009 bottle. Pours cloudy burnt orange color with off white head. Aromas of wheat, corriander and clove. Medicinal wheat and corriander flavor. Medium body with moderate carbonation. This one is going down the drain. I hope this is a bad bottle because it tastes horrible. Disappointing because I have really enjoyed the beers I have had from this brewery.
