PET bottle 0,5 ltr, alc. 6,3 %
Bottle bought from random grocery shop in Romania. Dark ruby red color, good creamy beige head, lace. Light papery aroma. Some caramel, light licorice, strong metallic flavor. Aftertaste is a bit sweet. Not too bad for being PET-bottled Romanian.

PET bottle shared by TBone. Deep rubyish amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is bready malts, caramel and some mild hops. Flavour is caramel, hops, dry wood and some mild licorice in the finish. Rather pleasant!

Bottle. 50cl PET, shared by larsga. It pours a blood-reddish black body, or maybe it’s just copper ;-), anyway, it’s topped by a small, beige head. The aroma has toffee, some grains and alcohol. There’s toffee in the flavor too, some roasted malt, as well as a touch of fruits and alcohol. Medium boudy. Wee touch of alcohol in the finish as well as an even weaker burnt note, and toffee. Drinkable, but far from a great brew. (080216)

Bottled- PET. Clear ruby, small head. Fruity coffee aroma. Medium sweet with clean mouthfeel and solid body. Quite potent with concentrated roasty malt character. Some dusty bitterness. Rough around the edges, but still a welcome break with the stream of pale lagers in Romania.

Near black beer with faint burgundy shine and small, irregular dirty yellow head. Some mineral, chocolate and toasted malts. Because I want to find something, it smells hardly more than still water. Slightly wry, woody taste, walnut(peel); yet with some typical malt sweetness, getting more sugary. Yet there’s evidence of t/roasted malts every new sip. As from human sweat. Really. Medium bodied, certain oilyness. They’re doing things with these plastic bottles. Looks like a 25cl, and a half litre glass couldn’t hold it all. As to the beer, they rid themselves of the Genius of the Carpates, now they’ve got the genie of Commerce. From Vlad the Impaler over Ceaucescu to GW Bush. Poor country.
