Medium-to full-bodied with a deep copper color and nutty malt flavor. Well-balanced by an assertive hop character.

Sample at the brewpub. This beer is a clear dark amber color with a medium beige head that dissipates steadily. Patchy lacing. The aroma is hoppy with an underlying sweet malt. Medium-bodied with hops, caramel malt and citrus flavors. The finish is moderately hoppy with notes of citrus and pale malt in the aftertaste. Above average overall.

Bottle. Malty aroma faint. Poured darker than the average pale with fruity and flowery flavour.. I didn’t note any nuttiness. Mild hoppy finish.

On tap at Pike Pub, Seattle. Amber, beige lasting head. Sweet orange tasting malt. Quite agile in mouth. Malty aroma, a little earthy. Quite full malt in mouth biscuit/nutty. Good balance of malty hop on finish. Malty pale ale. Drinkable if a little sweet.

tap at the brewpub - Pours amber with a lightly hoppy aroma. The balance of hops and malt is pretty good with some mild pine notes from the hops. It’s medium bodied and easy going down. It’s simple and fairly good.

Bottle pours a hazy dark copper color witha modest but lasting of white head. Lacing is sturdy and thick. Pleasant malty and hops aroma with some spices. Flavors are a mild hoppy, soapy flavor. Slightly bitter and not with the nice citrus or floraly copmpanants that PNW pales should have. Medium to thin palate and very soft carbonation. A bit diddapointing.

Draught (Cold) haze, amber; small rim for a head. Bit of chlorine, some discreet malts and a hint at diacetyl. Som good aroma hops, resting over sweet restsugars and malts; Light but not empty, slightly sticky MF. Unobtrusive, non-ambitious ale, but OK for session purposes.
