Bottle - thanks BuckeyeBoy. Glowing amber pour with a thin beige head. Nice aroma is a blend of sweet citrus and maltiness. A bit of faded hops. Red licorice comes to mind... Tastes of faded florals, caramel, and grassey. Comes through a bit aged. Still pretty decent.

Sample in the Alaskan tap room. This brew is a lightly hazed copper color with a medium thin and foamy off-white head that diminishes steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. Hops, citrus and earthy malt aroma. Medium-bodied and moderately bitter with hops, caramel and biscuity malt flavors. The finish is hoppy and lingering, with a touch of sweetness in the mix. Above average overall.

Aroma of floral hop and malt. Seems balanced. Red copper color with a light beige head. It seems to lace. As the glass approaches the nose, the malt aroma dominates. A strong carbonation. Then roasted, but not dark, malt overwhelms things. Ends a bit watery and malty sweet. But when the malty sweetness drains away, there is some noticeable hop bitterness. I don’t think it’s balanced, but there is interplay.

Bottled. Amber color, small tan head. bready, hoppy, quite APA/IPA-like aroma. Very malty, a bit of citrus, then burst of hoppy bitterness. not similar to English ESB - really American version. Long bitter aftertaste. Nice balance of hops and malts.

Bottled. Amber/copper coloured, small head. Aroma is American hops, just lovely in this one. Flavour is grassy, caramellish and very dry. Aftertaste is hayish and grassy hops. Boring, if compared to the aroma.

Good, dense, nearly pink coloured head; red-chestnut colour, clear. Very perfumey, near almondy nose, malts abundant, cherry stones. Surprisingly bitter beer, hoppy taste, with just enough malt backing to feed it. Again something almondy retronasal, warming up. Very creamy, smooth MF. Medium bodied. Aftertaste yields dry hops. Best about it is its balance. It even can be refreshing, served cool.

Deep amber color with hints of ruby make this look like an ESB should look. Caramel malt and hops come to the nose and the flavor is a well balanced echo of the aroma that ends with a slightly bitter hop finish. Not bad.
