It's summer, the sun is out and Half Mast is the perfect way to celebrate. An IPA with a quarter of the alcohol, but not lacking in the flavour, impact balance that you would expect from a Siren beer. This golden coloured IPA has a surprising malt base given it's strength, low bitterness, but it's popping with juicy mango and grapefruit. Truly the perfect summertime drink.

Bottled@SBWF2013. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, nectary and quite sweet malty. Flavour is floral, fruity and nectary with some slight herbal notes as well. A very beautifully balanced low abv beer! Naturally, a bit thin as for the palate, but a good thirst quencher!

Bottle. Hazy deep amber liquid with small off-white. Aroma of tangerine, pineapple, lychee, light bread and citrus. Smells really nice. Taste is dry and light to medium bitter with notes of tangerine, citrus, mango and pine. Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation. Really great, awesome for the ABV.

Sample at SBWF 2013. A bit hazy golden with a white head. Nice aroma of hops, pine and grape. Similar taste, although not as fruity. Medium bitter finish. The body was light. Really refreshing and drinkable. A nice beer considering only 2,8% alcohol.

Draught @ Craft Beer Co - Islington, 55 White Lion Street, Islington, Greater London, England N1 9PP.Unclear medium orange colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, hops, orange - citrus. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, citrus, hoppy, tropical fruit. Very well balanced and nice smooth. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130807]

Bottle from โJacksโ, Westholme Stores, Goring -on-Thames, Oxon, purchased last week consumed outside โFrankโ, (camper) at Little Meadow Riverside Camping, Bredon, Worcestershire, Saturday 21st September 2013 Pours light gold with a nice white head. This is an absolute belter of a beer a real cracker, and at this abv all the more impressive wow!. Crisp, refreshing and with a wonderful jucy hoppiness and nice dry finish this is an absolute marvel and is a โgo toโ abv beer and also a lesson to anyone making low abv beers. Wonderful. Keg at Craft Clerkenwell. It pours lightly hazy amber with a small yellow-white head. The nose is pine, varnish, grapefruit, polish and peppery notes. The taste is smooth, bitter, grapefruit rind, lemon, pepper, pine, varnish and wood polish with a dry, rather bitter finish. Light body and fine carbonation. Tasty and very drinkable. A great low ABV hoppy number.
