(On tap) Clear, dark copper with a small, rough, off-white head leaving some laces. Fat, peachy hop aroma. Medium body with sweetish caramel and honey with lots of peaches and tropical fruits before a dry and hoppy finish. Very well made and harmonious beer. But there’s nothing much Belgian about it. 310108 and 060208

Good amber chestnut colour; no head left. Very good, aromatic hops nose, but some ureum. Good cookie malts taste, balance sweet-bitter is near perfection. Cookie malts with hops making it halfway GB-USA. Wouldn’t call it Belgian, though. Warming MF, well bodied. Tasted it rather poor circumstances, which makes it all the more remarkable. Deserves rerating, if ever...

Draught at Cock & Bull, Auckland. Copper colour, slightly hazy. Orangey perfumy nose. Sweet with remarkably soft mouthfeel. Very flavourful - almond, caramel and hay, yet it feels pleasantly light in the mouth.
