When I smelled the aroma's I understood why this is a beer made in spring (printemps). Well, in spring the farmers take up their work and they start with dragging out the manure. The same odours I smell in those days, I smell now in my glass. (Even smoke escaped from my bottle when I opened it, just like manure does.) The colour is white, and so is the head. The flavour is rather flat, not watery, no, but just flat. Little bitter, maybe, but that would be it.

Very pale yellow. Very thick head, fine bubbles, collapsing. Nose of grain, sugar, alcohol. Head is very bitter, but dissolves in a very sweet, dry, taste, surrounded by a tart-y palate (carbonation + bitterness, I'd say). Dry mouthfeel. Well-bodied, even pappy; slight alcoholburn. THIS ought to be a spring beer? Next time they brew a winterwarmer at Meynsbrughen, they probably start were Samichlaus left off, I suppose?
