Bottle seems badly capsuled on opening! Nearly no carbonation in fully funky amber-brown beer with mossgreen shine. Slightly infected nose, vaguely nutty and definitely dry dark chocolate or chocolate powder. More chocolate in the taste, dry & quite woody, with ever so slight sourish touch. A taste of - sic! - London tap water and stale hops. There is some CO², all the same, dryness being relieved by some tingling sensation, light body. Better than expected. But why a Christmas cheers with only 4%? Hard times! Txs all the same, Mat.

Bottled. Hazy dark brown. Ashy, roasty nose. Dery with clean rounded, filling mouthfeel. Uncomplicated but flavourful, beautifully balanced. Low-medium bitterness. Must be lovely on cask.
