This is a beer that will make you rethink your definition of beer. It doesn’t taste like any beer you’ve ever had, yet it doesn’t taste like anything else either. Pushing the limits of brewing is what makes this job so much fun. Malted barley, wild yeast, hand picked Muscat Grapes, and French oak wine barrels are just a few of the things that went into crafting this beer. Breathe deep, take a long sip, and enjoy the creation in your hand.

Many thanks to Erzengel for sharing! A hazy amber beer with a small white head. Aroma of tart grapes and apples, wood, some vanilla. Taste of riped mild tart apples, apple pie, yeast, vanilla, awesome stuff!

Many thanks to kappldav123 for sharing this bottle! Fruity fresh nose. The beer starts very sour with a great dry sourish body. Fruity berries in the back, the grapes are there, very deep and complex, round and deep sourish fruity dry in the aftertaste. Great funky ending, fantastic balanced stuff.

Bottle at home. Looks really good. Beer in the glass light golden, small head. Sharp sourish aroma. Starts intense sour, bitter background, notes of bitter lemon, grapefruit. Tart sourish finish. Impressive!

Flaska från SB, vintage 2017. Smådisig gulguldig med vit krona. Riktigt fin och djup doft med massor av druvor, vinfat, lite syltig aprikos och sultanrussin, stall och funkiga inslag. Mellanstor kropp. Fin fatkaraktär. Lite oljig inledningsvis, men avslutas torrare. I smaken vita druvor, litchi, krusbär, citrus, skalbeska, vinfat, druvskal. Funkig och stram, torr avslutning. Riktigt trevlig.

This is a Batch 2 bottle:

When I popped the cap, it started to *slowly* gush but not a drop was lost!

A hazy straw yellow colour, the foam was about an inch deep max with some good lacing.

The smell is very nice! Some tartness, some fruitiness that's mostly citrus lemon and grape I think, and a good amount of a nose brought on by the Brett. This one smells delicious.

The taste has a very tasty tartness up front with good notes of lime with some lemon, grape that is semisweet, wood, some Brett that is more noticeable in the nose than the taste but yeah, it's there. Ahhh. No sign of the alcohol at all in either the nose or the taste and that kicks up the drinkability big time.

Mouthfeel falls just short of medium with the carbonation being on the lighter side of heavy and man that works for me. It finishes with a mix of tartness and slight funk and has a rather short lived aftertaste. Great brew here!!

Btw, second pour got it all cloudy and the foam left right after I put the bottle down so...it's not the best looker in a glass(cloudy is fine by me) but it sure makes up for it with the smell and taste. This 750ml bottle will be doubly easy to finish and I plant it firmly in the "exceptional drinkability" category.

Bottom line: When I look to try an American Wild Ale, I want all sorts of flavours and smell to go on and *this* one fits the bill superbly! I cannot recommend this brew highly enough!! I once again salute Captain Lawrence for their brewing skills!!

This really is something special like Ed Grapefruit and grape. Some tangerine. Very nicely integrated. A little wine barrel. Golden pour with good head. Light tangy finish. Very drinkable sour. Tap at Rustico.
