Fully flunky-hazy amber; beige, thick head. Rich sugared patisserie (pastry) in the nose, fine baked dough ("bladerdeeg" - are there words in the unculinary language of Shakespeare for the art of Belgian patisserie?) Slightly acidic taste, rich taste of malt and candi sugar, again pastry-like, sweet but just not cloying. Finishes a bit metallic bitter. Acidity is low, but constant. Velvety, creamy mouthfeel, full-bodied. Very rich beer, I can easily believe it was originally accidental (new brewery starting on wrong premisses).
