(Gottems blondje is subject to changes. This was the version from 10/03, which was more hopped and slightly stronger as usual. It is brewed at the 2hl facility in Gottem itself) Coulour is orange, clear, heavy pearling to a cream-coloured head, very dense and stable. Very 'beery' nose: crystal malt and flowery hops. Very hoppy flavour, noble hops, with a good crystal malt - sweet underbuild. Roasted too, the brewer uses open fire. No Maillard, however. Very long-sweet aftertaste with always the flowery hop overtones remaining retronasal. Beautifully hoppy beer - 4 months old and still retaining all the flavours bread-fresh.
