PALM Hop Select is a complex yet balanced top-fermentation connoisseurs’ beer with a reasonable alcohol content. Its specific hop aroma comes from the aromatic Hallertau Mittelfrüh hop variety. The carefully selected PALM yeast gives this beer its banana-like fruitiness, and the special PALM malts provide its subtle touch of caramel. Bottle conditioning ensures fine sparkling and an excellent shelf-life. PALM Hop Select undergoes hopping in three stages. An initial hopping at the start of the boiling process ensures the bitter flavour. The specific hop aroma comes from the Hallertau Mittelfrüh. This aromatic hop variety is added as a second hopping at the end of boiling and as a third hopping during dry hopping (end of fermentation), when Hallertau Mittelfrüh from our own hop field is used.

Pours a clear golden with a medium-sized white head. Aroma of malts, grass, some spices, some hop flavors. Rather watery and unimpressive. I ’hopped’ for more.

Bottle at ZBF’13, Leuven: Blond coloured Palm for the change with an gentle hoppy taste. Drunk it under its alias Palm Hop Select.

Bottle. Golden color. Floral aroma with a hint of caramel. Malty sweetish, floral hopbitter flavor with caramelly and aprocot notes. Floral hopbitter aftertaste, Not too bad, maybe a bit boring.

0,33 bottle. Mély borostyán szín, visonylag hamar apadó, kitöltéskor krémfehér hab. IPA-s, citrusos, lime-os komlós illat. Az íze finom lenne, de engem meglepett az erős szénsavasság. Jól komlózott, közepesen keserű sör, egy átlagos IPA-hoz hasonlítanám, de annál jóval édesebb. Szénsavas, de azlrt testes, az utóízek finomak. Meginnám újra!

Deep amber color, decaying relatively quickly, creamy white foam when filled. IPA, citrus, lime hop scent. The taste would be delicious, but I was surprised by the strong carbonation. A well-hop, moderately bitter beer, I would compare it to an average IPA, but much sweeter. It is carbonated, but full-bodied, the aftertaste is delicious. I would drink again!

Fles gedronken bij Fletcher Hotel Hoenderlo. Het Is een donkergeel bier met een stevige schuimkraag. Het heeft een citrus achtige geur. De smaak is zacht hoppig en citrus achtig.
