(Bottle 25 cl) Hazy brown with a nice head that leaves a pretty lacework. Some roasted malt and some brown dugar with only a hint of tartness. Bitter, hoppy finish. Softer, milder and less sharp than your typical Flemish sour - a bit like sweet, Danish Christmas table beer ("julehvidtøl"). 290899

The aroma is slightly sweet malty with notes of caramel. The color is amber and it has a very small light brown head. The flavor is sweet malty with fruity notes and a good bitterness. A little thin - but it is a 5% ABV Flemish Sour ale - which could explain that.

(Actual bottle I'm having is called 'Adriaen Brouwer'. But everything points at labelbeer of Oudenaards) Deep brown with reddish shine. Good yellow-brown head, irregular. Nose with chaff, moccha, (wet) brown bread. Nutty taste, brown bread/malt; sweet - nearly German in character. No acids detectable. Tastes more as a Münich than as a Flemish Oud bruin. Bit thin, mouthfeel as if suspension of sweet flour in watery liquid. Not only untrue to style, it's not very exciting neither. Unremarkable.
