Bottled. Old rating from my second rating notebook, apparently missed to add this. Amber colour, small head. Flavour is malts, some fruits, alcohol and yeast. Flavour is fruit, alcohol, and mild yeast.

Bottled (BB 07/2005)
Clear amber color, tight white head, some lace. Nose has toffee, smoked ham (!) and grassy hops. Malty with light toffee sweetness, rye, smoke, finishing to bitterish hops. Unbalanced and not very enjoyable.

(Bottle 33 cl) Actually more amber than blond, what I usually refer to as fully golden. Filtered with a HUGE head that never flattens - quite impressive. Typical Belgian yeasty notes, otherwise fruity with some nutty notes. Fresh with some bitterness in the palate. "Celestus" is a brand for a Belgian supermarket-chain (have forgotten which) and I wonder if this is just a Tongerlo 6 Blond in disguise? 050305

The aroma is sweet and acidic. The color is a clear light amber but it has no head. The flavor is thin, sweet, malty with some sourness and a dry hoppy end. Nothing special.

Dark gold, very clear, like watered-down brandy. slight white head, not persisting. Nose gives candi sugar. some fruit, as nectarines, nothing outspoken. Taste is candi sugar again, with an alcoholimpression, dried fruit (apricot). Slight, burnt sugar backthroat. No hops whatsoever. A bit empty, alcohol. No new aftertaste. If the C. bruin is the Tongerlo bruin, guess what this probably is...
